From Shouting Into the Void to 925 Substack Subscribers in Under 5 Months
about Kim

Kim had something real — a pelvic floor and chair yoga practice built on lived experience, and enough fire to build a movement women would actually rally around.
None of that was coming through online.
She was posting consistently and still losing followers. Bookings were unpredictable. Revenue swung wildly month to month.
She’d had social media help before and left underwhelmed. The content was passive, generic, and completely personality-free — easy-to-Google advice that gave her audience no real reason to choose her over anyone else.
Her email list sat untouched. Warm leads went unfollowed.
And her offer? She wasn’t even mentioning it.
“I was posting and posting and nothing was happening. My growth plateaued, and it felt like nothing was helping.”
How we collaborated:
The biggest shift wasn’t tactical. It was getting Kim out from behind the generic wellness content and into the spotlight.
Before posting
Kim had years of lived experience with pelvic floor dysfunction. She’d watched misinformation get fed to women, unchallenged, for years. In our calls, she was lit up by passion. Fierce opinions. Real pain for the years her clients went unsupported for.
But none of that was being leveraged in her content. In 2026, your content needs to make people feel something. And playing it safe wasn’t going to get her there.
So we dug into the real stuff — the how and why behind the business, the industry BS she’d couldn’t stand, the tips and tricks her audience could implement and start seeing results from almost instantly.
Her copy stopped trying to appeal to everyone and started speaking directly to her people. We wanted her content to filter the wrong people out in the first line. No sterilisation or polish. Just Kim, turned all the way up.
The right platform
On our calls, Kim clung tightly to Instagram. That’s fine, but when I took a closer look at the Substack work she’d been putting out in the background, it was doing miles better than any Reel she ever posted.
So I made a proposition: why don’t we lean into Substack instead of Instagram for 90 days, and see where it goes? And it paid off big time. She had new community members coming in droves.
Could we have made Instagram a success? Absolutely. But Substack lit Kim up. And when there’s passion behind your content, the audience can feel it.
We went hard on community building. The buyers were already in her audience — they just needed to be activated. We did that with intentional DMs, automated email flows for new sign-ups, and content built around what her people were actually asking.
Anyone who liked, commented, or followed got a personal message. We built trust over time, and only pitched paid support when the moment was right.
The content itself
We also started telling stories. Behind-the-scenes. The real reason she started. The stuff she’d been sitting on, filtered out of every post for the sake of sounding “professional.”
The result was truly magnetic content.
In the Substack posts, we strategically placed her lead magnets and paid offers to encourage her readers along the buyer journey.
“Whatever Sarah was doing, it worked.”
the results:
Here’s what just a few months of someone finding what truly makes you different and putting a megaphone to it can do for you:
Students started Rolling in
Kim went from inconsistent bookings and a cold, disengaged audience to a course launch that beat her own goals. New faces started showing up to her classes. Her Substack grew faster than either of us anticipated.
And the email list she’d left sitting there? It became one of her most powerful sales assets.
Raising her ceiling
Now Kim isn’t guessing at what works. She has a platform that’s growing, an email list that converts, and a content strategy built around who she actually is. The ceiling she kept bumping into? Gone.
Looking at her analytics no longer feels like time and money down the drain. She shows up confident and excited knowing her marketing efforts are actively growing her business.
“We started focusing on Substack and my email list, and successfully grew them both. I surpassed my mini course launch goal and started seeing lots of new faces in my classes!”
